Just a question about 1997 Mariners and newer. I was checking Boattrader and came across a 2002
Mariner that has sharp looking Plexiglass panels mounted on the forward bridge adjacent to the bench seat. They add another dimension to the physical appearance of the boat.
I was wondering if any owners know of a source for the panels. I contacted the broker,Afton Marina, but they had no way to trace back the original owner to see where they were purchased.
I do not own a Mariner, this is just in case
one is in my future.
 
They are not a premade item for sure. They have to be a custom piece. I will tell you that I think I have a feeling why they did that. On every Mariner I have seen/sold/maintained that large front piece of the bridge is very hard to keep looking nice. They fade/oxidize very fast up there. By putting that piece there they have a much smaller area to maintain.
 
I agree with 370 Motoryacht...people just don't seem to wax their boats much...the Mariners seem to be especially neglected for the most part. I did get a 97 to come back quite nicely with 3M Finesse It 2 and some Flagship wax
 
Besides the maintainance issue I really like the added look , seem to match the cabin windows .
Too bad the photograph is not taken broadside.
Hard to judge with the angle of the picture.
Ramsport, have you ever seen such an after market item?
 
No I haven't RBD...wish I could see some picks of it to see what it looks like.
 
I have to say that I really like the way this looks on the boat. It takes away from the top heavy look and flows nicely with the design of the boat and other windows on the boat
 
Ken Do you have any idea how to post a picture from an ad ?
