It was just reported that passengers were taken off at high tide around mid day because CG small boats couldn't approach before. I have to wonder why they didn't get them off this morning at low tide when it was dry. Odd.

Cruise to No Where Casino Operators are known for not paying anything for their boat crews, looks like they got what they paid for. I'd bet the boat operator made less than $200.00 day for sailing on a 100 ton license.
The Port State Information Exchange has a long, long list of deficiencies (from wasted bottom plate/frames to rotten PFD's and insufficient drug testing of crew) and descriptions of several Marine Casualties that this vessel has been involved in. Typical bad operator.

This was the virgin cruise since this boat was just moved to Savannah from FL.
Passengers did NOT have to pay and no adult drinks were served.
A number of passengers had to be lifted off the vessel by CG helicopters since they were not able to make it down the rope ladders to the CG ribs. Boat owners are claiming equipment malfunction. It is a very deceiving waterway, it appears to be much deeper since it is about a mile off the beach but the area is full of shoals and shallow spots. Local tug boat company was hired to drag it off the shoal but their tow rope broke 3 times yesterday. Finally today at about 2PM they broke the vessel free from the shoal. It was a very long night for the passengers.
