Central Oh mechanic needed for 1973 SRV 220

Loking for Mechanic to replace lower shift cable in central Ohio area on 1973 SRV 220, 188hp Mercruiser 888. Marinas wont play nice due to old age and Im hoping to find freelancer.

You must be thinking Paul's marine. Have you tried around Buckeye Lake or Indian Lake. You might find someone over in Springfield also,

Bingo !.. Good call, I know these older boats need a lot of care (read work), but she runs so smooth, Id like to find someone close to Columbus that does side work, and can fix these repairs that are out of my comfort range. Wanting to get back on Indian asap, and after scouring Mercruiser service manual # 1, books 1&2, I am leery about tackling this chore.

Have you tried Bexley Marine in Blacklick? they are a Regal dealer, but they have good mechanics and are reasonable.
