I have Four Winns H440 with twin Volvo IPS600s. One of my biggest concern's was service on these drives (and engines). Thankfully, they have been great thus far. There was a recall on a transmission oil sensor, nothing to take the boat out of service for, but something to get handled at some point. We were going on vacation for a week and a friend had mentioned that Mako Marine in Freeport was now a certified Volvo repair center and technician. Coming from Merrick, this couldn't be any more convenient, so I brought the boat to Paul (the owner) and discussed the issue. He confirmed it would be covered by Volvo. I also left him with a laundry list of little items to look at while the boat was there for the week. He was able to handle the entire process, addressed every single item on the list, and I picked the boat up in perfect and clean shape the day we returned. I'd like to thank Paul and his staff at Mako Marine, and just let everyone know they are now certified for Volvo issues. This may sound like a commerical, but they didn't pay to say anything, I just want to pass along good experience. Dealing with reliable professionals makes boating a more pleasant hobby.
