We just got back from The Channel Club located in Monmouth Beach NJ. I highly recommend to all the boaters please visit. Heads up!! It is true, there is a pod of dolphins hanging out in the Shrewsbury River. Wow what a sight!!! FYI $4.33 per gallon 89 Octane Hess Brand at the Channel Club.

Love the Channel Club.. Hope to make a trip later on in the season...

Hess brand? Wow, if you get their card you get 10% rebate for 90 days!
We are looking at Channel Club for a cruise next year.

do you think it is too far from haverstraw to do a one nighter?

Sounds good, we've done a couple one nighters up in kingston, and i'm looking to try something different. so this would work.

My favorite destination! The picture of my boat next to this post was taken at the Channel Club.Gotta love Sally Tee's!

Ok here are a couple of shots off the fuel dock. We were about 2 slips in from the end. We saw lotso wedding photo shoots.. Little did they know .....

So what site is on the laptop in the forground?

I actually got married on the dock at the Channel Club. We left off to the honeymoon on my father-in-laws then 29 Larson Cabrio.
It was truely awesome.

Hopefully those photos bring back fond memories. Every time we were there we saw people starting off. They looked at us on the aft deck in admiration. The sort of looks we had for folks when we were getting going in marriage.
Hopefully they all make it!

Ah Yes, Its only been 6 1/2 years, but still goin strong. Theres a large picture on the living room wall of us at the dock, looks like two searay sundancers and a 34 silverton C in the backround. That was a fine day :)

What is there to do there for a family with 3 kids under 8?

I'll be down in cape may on the 1-3, but we have the following weekend open, at least for now. lol.

The swimming pool and the beach. If you rent a car you can go to the sandy hook park beaches also.

Besides the pool and beach, there's a nice town a short distance away. Last year, we walked there to get pizza and visit the ice cream parlor. From what I recall though, there is no playground. If you bring bikes, the area is relatively flat. If renting a car, you can go south to the boardwalk of the Jersey shore.

We've been here since Monday, heading back to Stony Point on Saturday. Having a great time. Russell, I'm surprised we didn't see you, what dock were you on, we're on "B".

Mike we were on A Dock Slip 18. We passed you and TJ's around the GWB on Monday. We left the Channel Club on Sunday and stayed at Newport Marina Sunday into Monday. We spent the day in NYC. Pretty funny how I work in NYC, and yet I spent my day off in the city.
I was hailing you guys on the radio Monday to alert you of the dolphins. Did you see the dolphins on the way up the Shrewsbury River.
