Can anyone recommend a sailboat charter captain for hire on the Chesapeake. My wife and would like to charter a sailboat for a week and I just do not have the skills to do so yet. I would also like to make it a learning experience for us.
 
I'll be happy to check around for you. What dates and where is the charter out of?

Thanks, the location of the charter is Rock Hall MD, with Haven Charters. The dates are 8/25 to 8/29.
 
You could try Rick Nissan from C & C Charters out of Kent Narrows. His # is 410 739 0881
 
I'll contact some licensed captains I know and see what I can find for you.
 
Captain Dave O'Neill. He's in Rock Hall. His boat is Felix the Cat on which he and his wife do crewed charters but I'm fairly certain he would also do it on a boat you charter. Great people. I haven't heard anything back. If Mike recommends Cap't O'Neill, I'd go with him.

Have you asked Woodie who runs Haven Harbour Marina? I've never met anyone or any group that tries harder to help folks.
And yes I keep my boat there...
 
Mickey...well, what did you decide? I was with Capt. Dave O'Neill Sunday evening and he says he didn't get a call so I'm guessing you found someone else.
