I found a company that will sell you fuel about .30 cheaper than a gas dock but your marina most likely won't allow it on their property, I am thinking to ask them to come to a public dock to fill me up, any reason why not? Thats a $60 savings on 200 gallons!

liability - especially yours

In the event of a spill.

We bring a truck into the marina that’s about 1.30 a gallon savings on diesel

Some of the fuel delivery companies on LI have permits & insurance. If your going to use them ask/make sure

I buy my diesel fuel from a guy who delivers it to my dock by truck, and it’s a savings over buying it on the water, but my dock is on my own private property.
The savings were similar when he delivered fuel for my old gas boat.
The convenience is nice too since I don’t have to be there when he fills the boat.

Can someone please post name of company who will deliver and their phone number. Our boat is right on our dock in the canal

In a case where a problem occurred with home fueling a bot would your home and/or boat insurance cover the potential loss, liability, and potential pollutions issues?

The company that delivers has insurance.

Another vote for rising tide. Gene is awesome . Delivers to my entire marina. Never an issue.

That is great - do you happen to know what limits they have on pollution , personal liability and loss of property?
Or how to find that out?

I don’t remember offhand but if you ask Gene I’m sure he’ll be glad to fill you in.

I went to the website and also looked online else where - I do not see insurance or limits posted.

Smitty,
Why are u asking?? … Kind of an odd question... U asking for urself or a MARINA ?

Rob

Wouldn’t expect that kind of info to be on a website but if you really want to know, I’m sure Gene will answer insurance questions if you call and ask him.
I had that conversation with him a few years back, but just don’t remember the specifics.
I also know 3 of the marina operators on his list and while all are nice guys they wouldn’t let him in their places without proper insurance.

I am asking for myself - would like to get this information from others who may have a couple of hundred feet of fuel hose delivery on their property. Just like many things in life I would really like to hear from the customer on how they handle this rather from the source.

people gave u two recommendations, then u asked for insurance of which u should call the vendors.

What else do u want to hear ?

Rob
