I dropped something on my glass cook top and chipped off a piece about 3/4" x 2". The little piece shattered. I would like to replace the cook top. The boat is a Maxum 2600se. It has a single electric burner (the glass cook top). It seem that glass might be glued in. Anybody know anything about removing the old glass and replacing with new?

Greetings,
Hmmm....I would think with the cost of a new piece of (probably quartz) glass (sourcing and cutting to size) the hassle of de-mounting and remounting it would be most cost(and aggravation)effective to replace the whole unit.
Just MHO....
Peter.

check with the manufacturer of the cook top------It wasn't maxum.

the top will come up, by a little pry work....think your best deal is a new unit. try boaterowners world (ft laud)
or maybe sailorman (ft Laud) for a used unit

post what happened, ok
