With all due respect, to the great folks that operate our favorite boating site I must observe that server problems have been chronic and unique to BoaterEd. Server locations in Florida, New Jersey or New Hampshire don't seem to make any difference. IMO this problem should be fixed and not chronically taking up so much management resources.

Bruce, with all due respect, what the hell do you thing we are doing???? We were fine until some NJ company bought our hosting company about 4 months ago. They had problems from the beginning and have just gotten worse. Last week I contracted for a new dedicated server with a highly rated company. Now we just have to work through the transfer. There is alot of info to move - the replies table alone has over 300K records in it. On top of that are all the server tuning issues and email configurations. Believe me, no one would like a few months of smooth sailing more than I.

BoaterEd is all transferred over to the new server and seems to be stable and quick, to me at least. With any luck, we'll see a long period of uninterrupted service.
