Anybody have a good recommendation for cleaning the clear plastic windshield panels.

I use Klear To Sea both for my boat and my airplane. Boeing approved I find if you do not want to use a product containing abrasive (most plastic cleaners do have very mild abasive) this is the stuff. If you want to polish (i.e. use a mild but not abusive abrasive) Meguiars products work very good. PlastX having the most aggressive polish followed by Mirror Glaze #17 and #18 to clean followed by #10 to polish.

KTS is good. So is 210, which was my default cleaner. I also liked Prism Polish for old stubborn water spots if milder cleaners didn't work.

I have alweays used Plexus and found it to hold up well, however it has gotten very expensive and hard to find over the years ($35/can at WM). I have tried to use some of the others mentioned, 210 came highly recomended by a detailer supply company so I tried it but was not impressed with it. I picked up Klear to Sea last year which was inexpensive compared to Plexus at WM and found that to be similar type of product and this year I see that WM has its own brand called Plex-Rx.

My enclosures are 13 years old and they all look great except for the front which has begun to yellow. This year was the first time I tried to polish the weather side of the plastic with a machine and used Meguires #17 with a dril pad, I was able to remove some of the yellow but not all. I also tried 3M Finesse-it to see what that resulted in- no difference.

I wash and rinse with dawn, a soft cloth and plenty of water followed by Klear to Sea.

Yacht Brite Serious Shine for general cleaning. For small scratches finnese it II polish by 3M on a buffing wheel at low RPM's.

I thought the OP was referring to a hard plastic windshield, not flexible vinyl.

+1 on 210. My 20 year old enclosure still looks like new and the clear plastic isn't brittle.

rb2@gr5tCaltexfla ... Sorry if I wasn't clear. No pun intended, but I was asking about my vinyl clear curtains that connect from my glass windshield to my hardtop.

KTS or Meguiares will work fine on them.

+1 for meguires...two step process and then a 3rd for on-going maintenance once cleaned and polished.

I too have vinyl that has lasted for 10+yrs

I Googled and found Meguiares makes many products ... which one?

Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner, Clear Plastic Polish and Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Detailer

Hello Team,
I'm ordering the following 3 products. Any insights on how I should use. I'm assuming not seeing the written directions. I'm thinking I will initially use the "Cleaner" followed by the "Polish", then as maintenance task I will use the 'Detailer". Is that about right?
Meguiar's Clear Plastic Cleaner #17, M1708 - 8 oz.
Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish #10, M1008 - 8 oz.
Meguiar's Clear Plastic Detailer #18, M1808 - 8 oz.

Art,
You have it correct. Cleaner, Polish, occasional Detailer.
