I have been told you can clean the risers and manifolds with a acid flush and that some radiator shops will do this. Has anyone else known a shop to do this and I was told about $40 a side? My thermostat housing is not blocked but is corroted and I can not get the thermostat out, should I try and clean it the same way or just replace the housing?
I can not find the parts anywhere for this thing and would appreciate any help. All the local shops want an arm and a leg for the OEM parts. 1988 OMC 4.3L V6

-Alternator
-thermostat and housing
-water pump (on engine)
-water pump pully
-water pump kit for stern drive
-starter
-coil
-plugs
