I am curious has any body ever used PLEDGE a spay cleaner type of wax to clean the plastic windows in the Bimini top
wondering what would be good product for the out side spots from rain and just plan dust and dirt

When I had new canvas made for my last boat the installer told me to use pledge. I used it for years and the glass stay clean and held up very well. Many people told my I was crazy and that I shouldn't be using it. I have tried several other more expensive products and quit frankly none have been any better the the pledge. I will try the Imar product line next I have heard good things and my glass is in need of a good deep cleaning.

I used Pledge every week on my 1986 boat. Kept the eisenglas looking perfect! When they started putting the lemon into the recipe, I stopped using it.

Was told the same thing by many.Don,t use the lemon version. Plain only Works great.

I struggled with keeping the glass clean and soft. I brought it home washed it up real good and then sprayed with pledge. It is now like brand new again. Of course I mentioned this to a fellow boater and he just laughed at me and said I thought you already knew that.

We have 23 panels, and I use nothing but Imar. I use the cleaner for the season, and twice a yr. the glass gets waxed with their cleaner/wax product.

Anybody heard that over time, Pledge can damage the plastic?

A trick I heard to take out scratches is toothpaste.... it has just enought grit to take the scratch/oxidation out without damaging.

I have used Finessee-It II and a rotary buffer with light pressure and it worked well.
