I'd really like to give my engine, engine room, and bilge area a good cleaning. There is some oily residue on the engine itself, general grime and mildew in the bilge area, etc. I think it's bad for the boat and bad for the enviroment.
Not sure how to go about this. Obviously I don't want to just clean stuff and rinse into the bilge and pump overboard, because I think there will be a fair amount of oily stuff. Could shop-vac it out, but then I'd still have to figure out how to dispose of the buckets and buckets of oily water. It doesn't seem like oil-absorbant cloths will be enough either, but I guess I could try those.
Any recommendations?
