Our boat has four fresh water tanks for a total of 350 gallons. All is fine with the tanks and the delivery system but I do have some concern about the sanitation of the water. When ever we use the water for coffe or cooking we always pour it thru a "Brita" water filter even though it has already been thru two filters at the water pump. The two filters are the type that are folded paper like an air filter and a charcoal filter. I've been changing the filters about every 700 gallons. We get no debre in the water. We have drank the water with no ill effect! But I do worry. This spring when I filled the tanks I added a bit (A Bit TOO much) chlorox to the water tanks via the fill inlets. What is a good sanitizer to use that does not have a foul smell.
