Has anyone had any success with any of the "CLEAR" coatings such as Aurora's VS721 Bottom Wax or even their Repelin? I have never had any opaque antifouling paint on any of my running gear, thru hull fittings or trim tabs. Used my last can of TBT clear spray from Tempo last year. I really don't want to put conventional black bottom paint on any of these parts. I thought I read somewhere that someone has just developed a clear put I can't find the article.

When you find the clear in a spray can let us all know. I stocked up on Tempo, but ran out two years ago.

Yeah Tim, a friend & I split a case about 5 years ago. We could have bought more but were afraid cans might lose their aerosol propellant and become useless paper weights. All the majors claim to be working on a clear but none have been sucessful as yet. Years ago, I used a very viscous antifoulant wax on my trim tabs. It was not the type you apply & buff off. You just spread it on & leave it alone. It worked quite well in my waters but I don't remember the name or who made it. I was buying at K-Mart until they stopped carrying it. I then found it at Overton's but if they still carry it; I don't see it in their current catalog. I just might call them & see what they say. I will continue my search.
