Anybody going? I am working the GCBA booth Sunday morning till 2:30pm. I haven't gone for a couple years because we started going to the Toronto show which is at the same time. I'm not expecting much!

You're not coming Saturday with the rest of the crew, Joe? I'll see you regardless of which day :-)

No, we have other plans for Saturday Kenny... so we have to come on Friday..

actually, Sheryl and I started going on Friday 2 years ago and like it better. ie: smaller crowd..
We figured w/just one weekend this year that Saturday would be too crowded.

and yes, we figured you'd be there anyway.. so, we still get our Kenny time!! lol

Ron, I work for Sima Marine. We used to be a Carver dealer, but when they went through their bankruptcy, we lost our opportunity to sell them. We also sold Cruisers Yachts until 2009. We have significantly downsized our operations due to the economic climate, but are improving to where we can start selling products we are known for again. This year we have just 2 boats...a 24 Key West and a 22 Larson. We just picked up Larson and couldn't get more than the one boat before the show started.

Ken, I'll stop by and check out the Keywest Sunday

Okay Niles...I look forward to seeing you again. The show was relatively busy yesterday(for a Thursday). I'm sure this weekend will be packed with people as there's only one weekend this year.

See you tonight Kenny... (be there or be square?) lol

Also, glad to hear the show was fairly busy..
AND,
I really wish Sima Marine was STILL our Cruisers Yachts Dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too Joe...we still get a lot of people asking where we have the Cruiser Yachts and Carvers

Ken
It was a pleasure meeting you as well. We look forward to bumping into you at one of the Islands.

Ron

Ken, you were busy talking to someone so I didn't want to interrupt. My buddy that was with me did talk to John about the leaning post in the KW.

I guess it depends on what you were looking for but I thought the show was good. I was only interested in center console fishing boat around 21' and there was a good selection. I have to admit I really liked the 21' Mako with a 225 Verado. It was right next to the booth I was manning so I checked it out more than the others.

Hogan...you still got your Scout? They had 2 or 3 center consoles, I had never seen them before but I liked them.

Hi Kenny, was nice to see you and John at the show..

Of all the bigger boats.. Ironically our favorite boat at the show was the (used) 2006 33' Rampage.. and we're NOT really the fishing type perse..
I found it an interesting observation in that it was the Admiral who first commented as to how nice she felt it was.
(I had to coax her aboard.. since she questioned my interest in seeing it..)

As for the other boats.. I think my next favorite was the Lymann Skiff.. Not certain Lymann ever made a skiff, but he did a remarkable job on the restoration.. and did a beautiful job on it at that.. based on the pictures, it looked like she was barely firewood material when he first acquired her..
