What is the best way to care and Maintain a snap in cockpit carpet. It looks like pretty durable so I am asuming the it shouldn't take too much for cleaning and upkeep of it.

I take mine out for the summer and store it in the garage. It only goes in in the spring and fall when the weather is a bit cooler. Holds up great.

You can maintain boat carpet like any other carpet since its made of olefin fiber which is the same used in regular house carpet. Vacuum it as often as needed...sand and dirt act as an abrasive to wear it down faster. I try and clean it once per season. You can get a bottle of carpet shampoo and a nylon scrub brush, mix the shampoo in a bucket and dip the brush in the suds (try and use more suds than liquid so you don't soak the carpet and scrub away. Let it dry in the sun and vacuum. For tough spots the best cleaner is a product called "Afta". Its very strong and only apply it with a clean white cloth. I've removed blood stains from white carpet with this stuff.
