Only 2 weeks till this years party!

Who is going? I will be there, have not missed a single year in the past 8. Which reminds me I need to stock up on beads.

Flying up to Nantucket on wed to bring Charmer south so I ll miss it...

I know Florida is know for it's retirees, but boy did this part of this forum go to sleep?

There has been very little action on here and now just one response on my post for the CDR!

Pascal are you sure you don't care, I have seen you out there many years and seem to have a good time or is it just the timing of your trip that is not allowing you to go this year.

Come one guys who is going? not much of a 'party' if I am the only one down there.

We went for the past two years. We're not going to make it this year. We might not even bring our boat down to FL for this winter. We have a lot of other stuff that will be going on this upcoming fall and winter, which will limit our time to go to FL. So, we figure it might not be worth it this year. We'll still try to get down there for a visit or two.

Have fun at CDR.
 
Glenn, sorry to hear you and Janet won't be bringing the boat this winter! let us know when you come anyway...

We went 3 or 4 years in a row, it is indeed fun but it's a "been there done that" thing. frankly i'd rather be sailing (or building my next sailboat) than drinking and cruising in the tender :) Not worth the hassles and issues with flying back home for the week end.

maybe i am getting old!
 
Thanks Pascal. We'll let you know when we go. As for the boat, it's not a definite decision yet on whether or not we bring the boat down. I'd give it about a 25% chance that we'll bring it down this year. If we do bring it, it will likely not be until very late fall or early winter.
 
Cor, I may try to make it this year. Had a good time last year (ramped up with Pascal and his Lady)or was it 2 years ago.
You know you are getting old when you take your sister and your niece to the CDR. Got to find a different crew.

COR, Not much going on this year. Wonder if the old gang sold their boats.

That is what I mean, look at the old gang from back than, the south FL part of this forum was by far the most active back than.

You could always pick up a new crew at strip clubs, saw one boat a couple of years back where the guy did just that and he ended up with 22 girls on his chartered 58' hatteras.

Joe, I think you know footloose personally, right? is he ok and was is going on with his boat?

Cor, Olivier(FOOTLOOSE) is OK, still working on his boat.
Dave S. sold the blue Plate Special and bought a Land Cruiser.
Last I heard, A1Anne was doing charters somewhere in the Caribean.
Havnt heard from Sylvain.
Some folks have moved North and are getting ready for Snow mobiling and shovelin.

Any new S. Fla. boaters interested in getting together??
 
On my way down. Stop by and say hi if you see me. Come in and watch football and relax.
 
Supposed to be over 20kts this weekend, it s going to be Dragfest!!
 
Some of my friends are already down there and it is not bad they say as the wind is being blocked by the island. I plan on going down tomorrow as long as it is not pooring and or thunder, spend to much time getting ready for this not to give it a try.

80% chance of rain Saturday. Not looking good for this year's CDR.
 
As bad as yesterday was today was absolutely beautiful. Wind calmed down and pretty sunny day.
 
Yup, Sunday was very nice and Monday even better, just do not get me started about Saturday.

What a nice day it was Monday. Nice trip back home. I think something must be wrong with my boat though. I left the house with both engines running and returned home with both of them still running.
