Anyone have any plans for the weekend? I have been watching the weather and not sure what I want to do. I would hate to waste money going away to sit on the boat in the rain! I also don't want to waste my last weekend on the boat. I plan to start Winterizing the boat Monday.

"Winterizing"??? In October????

We've got several more weekends on the boat. Weather not looking great for this weekend, hanging local. I've got Monday & Tuesday off, hopefully it will clear up by then.

Today is going to be gorgeous, I'll be on the boat by noon.

Spending the nite at the dock but weather permitting, may spen tomorrow nite in the pond.

Hank I'm good with the pond if the weather holds out. What's for dinner?

The rain is supposed to hold off until 11AM on Sunday.

I spent the day blowing out my water lines, changed all the oil and every filter. I still have to pump out but that's all. Next week I will drop it off and once I'm out I will winterize the engines and A/C. I still haven't decided if I want to do the waste lines now or in the Spring. I'm hoping my back will feel better in the Spring and I can do more of the work myself. My back is killing me just from what I did today.

Either way I will strip the boat out to prepare for the job. The carpet and stairs will all come out for the Winter so that anytime I want I can work on it. I'm just afraid the hose will be harder to work on once it get colder out.

I guess the season is over at least for me! I will just have to visit my friends who plan to stay in a bit longer:) I have too many things planed for the weekends to chance not having time to get everything done if I waited longer.

I emptied some beers off the boat this weekend, as well as the fixin's for mudslides... The weather turned awfully crappy - first lousy Columbus Day weekend in several years.

Dave, Do you blow the A/C lines or do the pink?

Mike, Did you empty some some beers and mudslides via your bladder?

Was nice at Channel Club Saturday. Still hanging in there......

In the passed I have blown out the A/C but I think I will use pink stuff this year. My system seems to be a self draining system I never get any water out of it when I blow out the lines. Even the strainer drains out it's mount sideways so Tue it drains. I'm not sure why they all aren't done this way. I bet I could do nothing and be just fine but of course I wouldn't take that chance.

I thought about buying pink, but didn't. I thought about changing oil and filters, but didn't.

I thought about having a beer and a couple of mudslide, and I did!

Still got 3 more weekends to go!

BTW, Tony Athens says that changing your oil and filters every year is a total waste of money.

I'm not doing my oil this year. No way near the hours needed to change it.

I havent even thought about oil, filters or pink stuff yet. I have 8 weekends left and plan on enjoying everyone of them. In fact, I'm still trying to squeeze in one more overnight somewhere. You guys that bail out early are welcome to visit any time you want for a beer or coffee and Cohiba. I have to admit, it does get lonely after awhile. But not to lonely to quit early.

If we get a decent weekend, I'm up for an overnight (and a Cohiba).

Not using the boat and having condensation in the oil is a problem! I can life when the expense of oil and filters each year. Cost about $300 to change the oil and filters just over with all the fuel filters as well. In the overall scheme of things it's a small price for peace of mind.

You should have stopped by on Saturday. A few Tanquerays and a Cohiba spent the night at the dock but had a nice time!

We ended up going out to Civiles for Bob's birthday, didn't finish eating until after 11 PM. Figured all you Haverstraw guys would be asleep by then.
