Due to a parts issue, my boat sat on the trailer all summer. It is basically all set for use next spring. It will stay where it is at a a boat dealer in Delaware for the winter. They charge $100 for winter storage but expect that they will do work on your boat over the winter.

The dealer wants $1200 to wash and wax my boat. Seems high to me but it was not been washed or waxed this year. I cannot really do much work on the boat while it's at the dealer.

Is there a normal figure per foot to wash and wax a boat?

That's over $44/foot. I'd say GOUGE!! Can you wait until spring to do it yourself? (Of course you can)

Sounds a bit high, unless it's severely faded / chalked, and needs multiple compounding steps.

Another place quoted me $18 a foot to detail the boat.

So I cancelled the detailing and shrinkwrap but they did it anyway. So it will be no cost to me.
