I always thought the official begining of boating season was April 15th.
When did it move up to the 1st..?

Don't know on the launching, I spoke with them about 1:30 and itr wasn't in yet. I assume that the weather held them up through-out the day.

Got it... Havertraw is listing there start as May 1st. but you can get in your slip before then if it is open. They rent out slips for the month of April to the Stripper fisherman.

The first time I saw May 1st as the start date I felt, well... Kind of jipped... Like I was losing 2 weeks. But alas.. there is no one in my slip so I will launch as soon as PB has the boat ready. Maybe if the weather is good I will put the little boat in until Sweetness is ready.

Anyway, I should be down at PB this weekend to check out the boat, have not seen it since Nov. If I see you around I have some cold ones to share

Jon, if you can navigate the treacherous waters and safely get yourself into Bowline, look for me (I'll be the guy everybody is afraid to go near) and stop by, we can have a few laughs together.

If Jonathan (Robyn's Nest) is there, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you some additional pointers on typing!
 
Make sure you bring at least 2 anchors before attempting to get close to Hogan.

Just passed through stony point on the way back home , looked like a ghost town still, big tug and little center console were the only boats i saw floating , still early i guess .

look forward to meeting some of you soon & have some laughs, coolers usually full & self serve

Well the water was choppy, four footers but it was worth every gallon of Warrens gas to get out there and have the wind blow thru my hair...
Yes Mike Warren is in but by the time he got home I think its going to be awhile before he gets in again!

When I got to my boat this morning Crystal was scrubbing the dock and fingers with a stiff broom and river water. At least the piles of crap are gone. Kinda felt sorry for Crystal though. I thought they could find someone else to do that.
 
As the dockmaster she needs to learn to delegate more!

(BTW - less anyone thinks otherwise I like her! Always amazes me how some of the things I say here come back to me thru the grapevine as people thinking I'm trying to start trouble when in fact I'm not!)
 
OK Cover is off, tops are on. Wheels are complete. Need to sand and paint the transom. Install zincs, Wash and wax. Then install the new mast. Ok the mast can go on in the water.

So when is the first overnighter???

I see that SHABA II is in.
