Crisfield, MD Boating

Looks like I'll be relocating my boat to the Crisfield area next year. What are some areas that are great for exploring down there.Weekend trips and anchorages. I have a 34' Formula cruiser with genny.

The Lower Potomac is great. Smith Creek and St. Mary's River on the MD side and Coan RIver and Yeocomico River on the VA side. All are very rural areas.

You can make runs up to Deal island, Salsbury, Tangier island, Pokomoke and Tangier Sounds and Hooper straits and Honga Sound. The best thing is to grab a chart and google earth and find little towns that you can check out.

From Crisfield you can go anywhere you like... and you should! There ain't much to do or see in Crisfield except maybe to try to decipher what the Watermen in the area are saying to each other.
