Crown Head DD Part Help

Hello all,

I have a Crown Head Deep Draft unit and I believe my impeller shaft seal (CH11) has gone bad as it has a slow fresh water leak where the impeller housing meets the pump.

I have an unopened CD (CSRK)repair kit on hand for my other head. Can anybody tell me if I can substitute the 31-102 shaft seal for CH11? Or should I get a new kit on order?

No, you can't use that seal; it won't fit properly. PM me and I'll send you the correct seal for it. For future reference, Repair Kit #CDRK is the correct repair kit for a Deep Draft unit. #CSRK is for newer Centrifugal Discharge units, manufactured after 1987.
