They should. Truck probably does, but they don't share it.
Guessing probably getting to NY today and probably will sit before bridge waiting for like 2 to 3 am to go across.

Update is they should be at the bridge soon!
Probably pulling in late tonight.

bet you won't sleep much w/all the excitement.. Thanks for the pics & the recap above..
As a preference, we tend to travel to places where we have the option NOT to Raft... That's just crazy... ;-)

Just got the call, boat is in the marina. Just gotta wait till morning for lift off.

Dave, Weather's going to suck for the next few days. Take your time and good luck. I feel excited for you too.

WOW, that was quick!! Now I know you didn't sleep much last night!! & Hopeful, they moved the former CurrentSea out by now so as to have a place for the New... hope you have decent enough weather to get her unloaded & not freeze to death in the process.. :)

lol, yes, we'd like to have live video coverage if possible!! (can ya tell it's been a long winter?) lol

Dave good stuff thanks for posting the pictures and story of your last boat. My wife and I remember the trip out of Little Egg to the Ocean with you and Walter.
I'm not sure what is going to happen with my boat. It is not a total loss but it's hull is in bad shape. The mechanics are good but there are in excess of 20 fiberglass repairs needed to the hull (some minor others major), the entire aluminum safety railing and rub rail must be replaced. The boat has exposed coring above the waterline from the storm damage.
It appears I am the a victum of my own circumstances I had the boat insured for too high a value so it isn't totalled. However with all the spot repairs I think in a few years it will look like crap and have almost no resale value (not that it was that great to begin with).
I wish you the best with the new boat.

Bill: Ask the shop about painting instead of gel coat. Repairs should be cheaper and it will always look great.

Bruce I realize I have limited options. When you say paint it has always been my understanding it doesn't hold up in the long run?
Bill

Bill, I think Bruce is right. Especially if you have multiple repairs. I plan to paint mine a few years down the road. It has had a few repairs and the gel coat just will not shine on top side any longer. I think you have a 15 year or so life expectancy from paint. Maybe longer. And the gloss will remain for nearly the entire life of it with proper care. You can not say that about gel-coat. Gel-coat has a life expectancy of 10-15 years before it starts to break down as well.

Hi Bill, you bring up an interesting point & one I never thought of as I question if we have enough coverage on our boat. Based on your note.. and our feelings over it, I think I feel better where we have it set at this time.

As for paint.. like most, I'd have the preference to hang onto that Gel Coat option as long as possible.. but am in agreement that the painting options have improved so much that I think you'd be very happy (for a long time) with your boat looking like NEW again. I believe both the Imron and Awlgrip products are both known to be very durable. From a (robotic/automotive) painting background, I'm confident that an experienced shop can put a finish on her to make her look like a Mirror again!! My only advise would be to check around closely and be sure to pick one w/good references.
