I would think so. You cannot tell by them hanging there, but there is a slight taper to the bottom edge to coincide with the "rake" of the cabin side windows. Plus...even if you buy something premade taht might fit, you'd still have to have the plastic curtain tabs sewn in.(tabs should be available at your Carver dealer)

Actually, I don't care what the curtains look like as long as the drinks are cold.

When I start to dream about a boat project I like to poke around yachtworld and see what others have done in a similar boat. Curtains, mini blinds, shade covers that snap on to cover the windows, you'll see all kinds of stuff.
You could buy fabric you like, measure and then have a local seamstress make up the drapes. Adding the tabs for the track is not difficult but need to be sewn in while making the drapes. The tabs are available from lots of places that sell marine fabric supplies, maybe even here.Do you currently have drapes that could be copied?

I do have curtains now but they very straight forward. 19" X 106" or somthing close to that so no reason to copy. I found tabs at a RV store that fit the tracks that I have now, so I guess the next step is to find a seamstress who is interested.

Jim we replaced all of the curtains in our 30' aft cabin. I think it took 30 yards of material? There was some extra material and the seamstress made some pillows. I will check with my wife to confirm the amount of material. Total cost for the project was $700 a bit costly but we had them lined and pleated. Not one of the curtains were the same dimensions each curtain had to be marked and measured to insure a proper fit. We got the tabs from the local RV store and they also has the ones with the rollers. here are some pics

As it appears the New England weather has its mighty grip upon us, I can (sea) that we have come to the point of talking about new curtains.
I guess in other countries this would be considered manly, but here in the good old US of A I question it.
SOOOOOOOOOOO here is what I am thinking. We are having a warm spell here in NH. Yesterday it bottomed out at -16 below at my place and this morning it was only -11 below. I was thinking perhaps you might up the anty on this curtain thing to at least getting them quilted for extra warth.
Dare to be different Jim, be the man of your neighborhood, show your buddies at the marina you are the top dog.
Plus as an added bonus it might lower your heating and cooling bills while onboard.
Oh, one other thing you may want to check the US gov. website and (sea) if they have a curtain buy out plan???
Perhaps a quick trip to www.mountwashington.org
will warm things up as its only -60 this morning.

Another option to consider is roll up shades, accented with some curtains or toppers.
We had the shades installed, mounted up in the same cavity the curtains hung from so they are hidden when rolled up. The admiral has plans for the accents next.
That said I want to make it perfectly clear to BOB that this has been the admirals project. Occassionally she allows, I mean RELIES on me, to stick my head out of the engine room to admire her work, and keeps me focused on the MAN-LY jobs like keeping ice in the cooler, and manning the BBQ!
Seriously, if interested I should be checking on the beast within the next couple of weeks and could snap a couple of digitals of the Salon shades. Let me know...

marykhubby - Sounds like an interesting option. Please post some pictures when possible. My wife wants new curtains but I am doing thr project because I'm not interesting in dumping big bucks into curtains and I have a feeling that is the direction my wife would go in. If I'm going to invest in the boat, curtains are pretty far down the priority list. My list would include windless, new fenders, some canvas replacement, bigger flat screen, bigger batteries... manly stuff.

Pic's of shades and mounting technique. When shades roll up they are completely hidden behind the wood covering. Put a snap on each end of the base to fix them to the window frame when deployed.

Not "blackout" style, but they keep direct sunlight out. At night with them down, You can see light but not much more. I also tinted the windows to dramatically cut back on UV and heat (Huge diff) and great privacy during the day with shades up.

Yes I did the tinting myself (well, with the aid of the admiral - 2 person job to avoid screwing up those big pcs). I can walk you through details if you decide to take the plunge.
I found the Critical Keys are: plenty of sharp razor blades, a plumb straight edge, a decent squeegy, squeaky clean windows immediately before cutting your pc, soap/water spray mixture (lubrication), handle the film carefully to avoid any wrinkling and don't let it touch ANYTHING between separating it from the backing and placing it on a soapy window, measure 3x and cut once, and TAKE YOUR TIME.
Rushing and beverage breaks before you're done can be a recipe for disaster... I also highly recommend a "no questions" policy signed beforehand by the admiral (or invest in a muzzle)
