Day Trip with swimming?

Hello everyone!
Newbie question for cruisers on the south Hudson.

We're looking for a day trip where we can drop the anchor and go for a swim.

We're coming from Liberty Landing area, and I've heard of Croton park that has swimming there. By the look of the charts, its about 20 miles north of Liberty landing in NJ.

Also wondering if there is anything close to Sandy Hook where we could anchor as well?

Croton is one of our favorite places close to home. AKA - The Westchester Rivera! Can get crowded like any good anchorage area and if the wind is out of the NW or W it can get choppy.
 
Why not go to Sandy hook? Nice beaches there. If I were that close I would go there.

Thanks for the highlighted chart! Was planning to go up there this weekend, but instead had to entertain guests by cruising around NY Harbor for a while...
Planning on going up there this weekend.
