Just toured the area all morning. The devastation is beyond comprehension. Haverstraw Marina faired well. The end peninsula is missing but not sure if there were any boats on it. A couple on land went over. Patsy's Bay is almost a total wipe out. A very large percentage of boats on land floated and piled up. I have never seen anything like it. Words don't describe it. Several friends lost their boats. Most of Stony Point Bay is simply gone. Docks and all. Tons of boats missing and sinking. Heard half of Penny Bridge is gone and same thing with boats on land. Heard also that Minnesiengo faired pretty well but can't get to the area.

My boat is on railroad property. Trying to find crew to remove it before railroad company does. Props and rudders still on, did not sink, salvageable in my opinion.

Any clue who can remove this? Tried calling Al Prisco but I assume he is swamped.

Just got the call from West Shore in Marlboro where I store my boat. They had 4 feet of water in their building, and all of the boats on the river side of the railroad tracks floated off their blocks. They can't start recovery efforts until the water recedes. They are expecting more damage at the next high tide.

Already called and started my claim with Progressive.

I just spoke with friends still at the Rondout Yacht Basin. People by the pool and higher are ok. Otherwise the place is devastated. Boats are on their side all over the place. They were lucky because he went to pull the plug as a part of winterization and it refused to come out. So it refloated and wound up being one that was saved by Jeff.

The Sandy Hook CG station was wiped out. They are currently on station at the Rondout Yacht Basin!

Hank was one of the lucky ones!
The devastation is beyond believe I toured the marinas and there are very few boats that came out of this without damage.

My heart goes out to everyone both boat and marina owners this was a major lose to everyone, I hope everyone escaped the storm without injury. Boats can be replaced buildings can be rebuilt and docks can be repaired as long as we have our health we can move forward.

We all have a long winter ahead of us I hope next season we can bounce back!

Amazingly enough, both AudreyII and Starry Night suffered absolutely no damage, while boats all around them are destroyed.

I couldn't get to Minisceongo, but I could see my boat and rommer's boat from SPBM, both appear to be OK.

Dave, we walked by your boat, seems like the Trojans made it OK. I guess the guy putting out his anchor next to you didn't help...

They are so high up on the stands they survived.

Boats at the Channel Club up on land did not fare well at all. 2 are sitting on the main C dock, wind blew them back and then when the tide went out the just got left there.

The amazing thing is that there were boats all around them that crashed into each other, but didn't hit Dave or Bob...

It is these things that make the Trojan 440 owner glad they have a 5' draft, 15' beam, solid hull and 35k weight.

For the boats on land, it looks like a big issue was that they didn't chain the stands together, which is SOP here in Carolina. I'm so glad to hear all the people faired far better than the boats, and hope you get some decent weather to help the immense recovery effort.

It was the rising water that floated the boats off the stands, most of them floated off and then dropped straight onto the ground.

I know the pain you guys are going thru. Been thru it for 48 years and only lost one boat.
It's hard to see this kinda thing, if you are a boater.

i think th weight was a major factor of keeping the 440's on the stands. Too many boast were just too light
