Dinghy on a teak swim platform

The width of the dinghy should be considered also. The width of the dink is 4ft, and length is 9ft. Beam on the boat is 8ft. So 6inches will hang off each side which is nothing...

I dont know what if I want something hanging off the back of the swim platform, or something that sits on the transom...
