We owned an inflatable dinghy 10' which had a plastic roll up floor. With a 4 horse engine it would not get on plane with my wife and I. With both of us on, anything above no wake speed, the floor would lift and roll back like a wave. It was a pain in the !@#$. I am considering either a hard bottom or the new high pressure inflatable bottom. I plan on putting a 9.9 4-stroke Tahatsu on it. I am having a tough time deciding between the two types. I would like to purchase the inflatable floor type so that I could deflate it and throw it on my boat however if it acts like the one I got rid of, I will not be happy. I would be more willing in that case to get the rigid and loose the opportunity to put it on board and just tow it behind my powerboat. I am interested in hearing anyone who may own or have had a ride in the inflatable floor type.
The second questions pertains to types. At first I was going to purchase a zodiac zoom, at around $2000.00. I see online an inflatable company which sells a similar inflatable floor dinghy by the name of SATURN, for significantly less, arould $800.00. At that price, if it did not last as long, just buy another and your ahead again. Anyone here know anything about the SATURN inflatable? Thanks.....
