The long time owner has passed away and the restaurant has closed.I know this was a favorite stop for MikeeH and many others on their way to the marinas.

Where am I supposed to go to get a month's worth of colesterol in one Sunday morning sitting for less than $5.00???? I'm gonna miss that humpbacked waitress.
Jeez, I guess now it will have to be the Galena Firehouse Sunday Morning Breakfast Buffet every other week.

Man: I thought that was another name for Twinnys'. I always stopped there on my way from Elkton to Annapolis for Subs. They do not know how to make them here in MD. Like Lees' in Pa. or anywhere in Phila. etc. My first question,,, is are you going to cut that roll in half, or just slit it, and then when they ask if I want mayo---I know I have made a bad choice. We actually have subs federaled from Bellefonte, Pa. from time to time. Closest thing here is Subway,,,now does that tell you anything?
I am officially in mourning. As Mikee said, where can you get two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, home fries and coffee for $4.39. And until a year or so ago it was $3.99! I'm heading down to work on the boat now. What to do for lunch. Just tell me the package store attached to Dixie Joe's didn't close also.
Ok, here's the update. 3-4 people have looked at the restaurant and are interested in buying/reopening. The health department has told the owner what needs to be done in order for a sale (that's comforting huh?). The owner (not the one who died) is in the process of doing the repairs/upgrades necessary. So there is hope. And yes, to answer the other critical question, the package store next door remains open (and has a very competitive price on Land Shark lager).
In other Galena news, apparently, Georgetown Yacht Basin, or at least a family member, is in fact buying the Kitty Knight, and it will be run by the proprietors of the Granary. More news to follow.
