I am looking at installing a Mermaid Condensator. When I look at the information on it indicates that it uses a Venturi effect to suck the condensate from your drain. This is the same concept they use to add ozone to pool, Chemicals into piping and fertilizer into your sprinkler system. Mermaid's kit definitely has every thing you need but the $150 to $199 price for some tubing and a venture fitting seemed a little steep. I looked up pricing to compare if purchasing the items on your own would make a big difference
A ВЅ Mazzei injector tube Model 287 is $31. Instead of injecting chemical into your discharge you will be pumping Condensate

Вј inline check valve $10

SS clamps $15
Inline Strainer $20
Total about $75
I guess my question is has anyone made one of these? Does any one think that this would not work the same as the Mermaid condensator? Would there be a better way?
