Do all surveys include a moisture meter reading?

I am curious to know, do all surveys include a hull moisture reading with a specialized moisture meter? I've seen some surveys where the surveyor will simply do a hull sounding with a rubber mallet vs. actually measuring the amount of moisture in the hull. Which is more prevalent now? Or are both maybe?
