With MNEA common, I can now get a flow sensor (e.g. Lowrance) for about $60. Worth it just for fun, and generally easy to install.
Except -- they and most flow sensor say put a filter between tank and sensor. While not impossible, I do not have a lot of space to do that. There's a big filter on the engine, I'm not suggesting I not have a filter, just asking if I need one specifically for the sensor.
With a plastic tank and regular use, amd I really getting enough trash it will impact such a sensor?
I can't put it after the existing filter since it is fuel injected and the recirculating fuel will give a falsely high reading.
