So we used the Dockwa to make reservations at Island boat yard shelter island. received a reservation number and confirmation. Showed up with another boat we were traveling with .... NO RESERVATION. ( oh and we called during the week to confirm which they frown upon ) Apparently boats came in earlier in the week and gave their wrong beam. So they gave them our slips. Didn't say hey listen when the people who gave the right info come u have to go ... or call us to tell us what happened ... nothing . VERY MESSED UP. REally has nothing to do with Dockwa and all to do with incompetence....
SO we scramble for plan b. Called Townsend. Full, Sag harbor full. We call brewers Sterling harbor . The dock master is out for a few hrs . We cant tell u if we have room. Try us back is 3 hrs. WTF ... we ended up in Brewers Greenport one yard over.
