Got home today after four days at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Had a mini-stroke Sunday and was admitted Sunday evening after working the Locust Grove car show. Fortunately Linda insisted on me going to emergency room and they were able to treat me in time to prevent permanent damage. Has been a bit scary to think of what could have been. The care I received was top notch and extremely thorough. Still have time to get in some serious boating.

Glad to hear you didn't have any permanent damage. Hope your feeling better and get well soon, see you out there ... Jon

George, it's a good thing that you are still young enough to dodge those random bullets. Glad to hear it was not serious and you are back in action. At the same time, at our age, we need to pay attention to things that just don't feel right.
Now go out and enjoy the rest of the season.

George,
Glad to hear you are ok and nothing permanate. You take care of yourself. Enjoy that beutiful family you have and make everyday a special one. Now get out there and enjoy Life.

George thankfully things have worked out! Any reason to explain how the clot wound up getting there? My brother had a Ventricular septal defect. It led to the same result (mini stroke). He had a procedure where they (essentially) slide opposing parachutes up through his veins and arteries from his leg, and open them up in the heart having gotten one on each side of the defect. Then they pull them together and seal the hole!
And we wondered why he was a "blue baby". They thought it was the RH Factor.

Keep dodging them George! Glad to hear no permanent damage.

Glad to hear your ok. Make sure to follow up to determine the cause. My farther had a stroke a few years back. He is doing well now, but goes for a checkup every 6 months. He ended up having his Caroded arteries cleared out.

Speedy recovery!

Be well, George. You'll be in our prayers. Just keep listening to the wife!!!

Now it seems I am being double-teamed! The doctor says I can't use the boat for a week...I would offer up the keys but I am sure you guys would beat any good looking women to the punch....and there are fireworks tonight off Poughkeepsie!

George;

Glad to here that you are ok. Pay attention to the Doctors, and take care of yourself. A week will go by in notime.

Yeah, screw the fireworks. You want to be around to view them next year, the year after, the year after, and...

glad you caught it early George. Good luck with the recovery, take care and don't push it too much in this heat.

Jonathan
