This is an offshoot of my other question about which boat lift to get. When I was talking to the dockmaster here, he said that you need to clean the underwater portion of a boat lift. Huh? I can see having to clean the one like the Sunstream lift which is basically all under water but what would there be to clean on the other types? Aren't all the "workings" above water? I'm talking about the 4 pile cradle type lifts.
