We spent the day at the tip of Long Point in Lake Erie by the Lighthouse. There were even a few boats over from Erie, PA for the day. We live a 10 minute drive from Lake Ontario and people always ask us why we boat on Erie. This is why!

A total of 25 boats on the best day ever for boating and hanging out. It can't be beat.

On the other side of us - no one.

Looks pretty similar to most days on Lake Ontario, minus the views of the lighthouse, chimney bluffs, etc. ?

Not knocking Lake Ontario but I would not swim in it around the Toronto area. We boated in Lake Ontario for 3 years and really enjoyed it.

Randy, we are in Erie right now and thinking about crossing over to Dover on Sunday. Are you at PDYC?

Thanks
Niles

We are in the Harbour Marina. PDYC is up the river. If you want any information on Dover let me know. Lot's going on for Canada Day. Make sure you take a wide berth around the point. The sand bar goes out into the lake quite a distance. If you are going to PDYC there is a boat parade at 11.00 that will see lots of traffic on the river. My email address is in my profile if you need to reach me.

Thanks, good info. Weather isn't the greatest right now here at the Erie Yacht Club but I'm thinking about a 5am start which would get us there before the parade

Thanks
Niles

I'm thinking about staying the first night at Cliffside YC within your marina if they have room
