That quadcopter makes a stable camera platform. It also looks like it costs 1.5 "boat units".
I wonder how well it does lower and looking for shoals/the channel. BE nice to recon that "unknown" cut through the shallows.

A friend of mine uses one for his professional photography business. I would think they would work well for that. And they do make a couple under $1000 that seem to work well for amateur use.

Mine was under $100, but limited compared to that one. Still, it could be useful in some circumstances.
Clearly the ability to have a "real" payload and have a stable platform makes a difference.
