darn, a question I could have answered!
I kayak out there. Seasonally there is a lot of birds roosting, and quite a bit of noise, though I am told that this past year not as many birds as before. I always enjoy paddling there. Care required if you have a deep draft, it is shoal there and a nice sized rock that is visible at low lays in waiting below the surface at higher tides between the islands.
Closest anchorage is probably China Camp or McNears.
