No model info just lost (Crown Electric I think). Not vacuflush but electric flush (I guess). I'm gonna get more model info but really this is the first boat I had without a pump at the head so don't know too much about the process.

Never rains but pours. Two heads and both broken within a week. One just "clicks" looks like wires to to a solonoid and pumps don' tkick in. HOpefulle just a replacement (if anyone knows where to find it).

Second head all of a sudden started flushing slow (like clogged). Thought I heard a rattling during flushing, now it just pumps raw water in but doesn't flush out.

I'm assuming I screwed up some impeller or something. Is there a standard kit I can buy to refurb these things or are they all over the place?

Doug, I see by your profile that the boat's an '84 model. Any chance that the heads could be original equipment on the boat? If so, they're nearly 25 years old, and by now I'd guess they're pretty doggone tired. But their age eliminates many other makes and models of electric toilet, which weren't made back then. Fair possibility that they are Crown Heads, see link for picture of Crown Head:

For the one that "clicks" but the motor doesn't run, take a short piece of heavy gauge wire and jump across the two large lugs on the solenoid. You'll have to locate the solenoid (that's where the click is coming from)- try following the wires from the motor on the head, back toward the battery or power panel. If the motor runs when the solenoid has been jumped out, the solenoid is bad. If the motor doesn't run, the problem is in the motor.

On the other one, can't be sure without opening it up. Remove the round front cover after getting as much water as possible out of the toilet (try using a cheap turkey baster from a dollar store to suck the water out of the bottom of the toilet bowl). After removing the front cover, take a look inside and see if something is caught in there - large wad of toilet paper, etc. If so, it'll have to be manually removed. You can replace the front cover without having to replace the "O" ring seal.

Also, get as much info as possible from the label on the motor: make, model voltage and amperage rating. You can pass that along to us, and we'll have a better idea of what's being dealt with.

You are the head master...;-). I believe they are original equipment but seemed to be running fine. I add heaad lube twice a year.

Can I get to the impeller from the pump by removing the front cover? My gut says it's probably been vaporized and it's just a cam spinning with what once was an impeller.

My other gut says my aft heads motor is siezed as I get a solid click from the solonoid then if I hold the button down too long, the 20 amp main push in breaker at my panel trips.....damn....

That was my first thought when you said it just clicked

I'm trying to buy the rebuild kit but just don' tknow which one to buy. I believe the base on one of the two units (the one where it was slow to pump water out then stopped all together but motor stil lruns, I pulled it apart and pulled out the impeller (two piece?). I think it's CH120, 121, 119 or something. Can't figure out which to buy

If you can supply me with the voltage and amperage from the label on the motor, I can steer you to the correct repair kit for the toilet. There are (3) different versions of the Crown Head out there, and each one has its own unique repair kit. Keep in mind however, that the repair kits are just seal and gasket kits (with intake pump impellers included). They do not include motor parts or any other major parts for the toilet(s).
