Hi everyone,
I have an 88 Bayliner Capri with OMC-Cobra 5.0
I did something stupid today, I reconnected my battery the wrong way (inverted plus and ground) and now I have no power coming to the dashboard and can't start the engine.
Here are the steps that I have gone through so far:
Tested the battery, it works.
Tested the dahsboard fuses, they're OK.
Tested the electical plug (part that comes out ouf the engine), does NOT work.
Jump started the starter, works, cranks engine.
I looks like the problem is somewhere between the battery and the electrical plug. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? I really need help, marinas are completely booked and I was planning on taking my boat on vacation next weekend.
