Looking to price out having some electronics replaced on my boat. Chartplotter, radar, etc, need a mast to raise the radar radome.

You guys usually have good recommendations, any places to start looking?

Boat currently on the hard in Oceanside.

Thanks

I used Seatronics. Good prices, good work. had to stay on top of him to get it done tho.

Get some prices and then stop in to see Tom at Starboard Marine on Lawson Blvd in Oceanside.

I've found him to be very competitive with on-line pricing and he is local.

Pete Norris does good work. Don't skimp on the installer.

Al at Nav Tech in Amityville did some work for me this past summer. Real good guy and knows what he's doing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

i'd stay away from al at navtech, hired him once never completed the job and then wouldnt return calls to finsih. complete rip off

Don't forget the NYC boat show in Jan., you may get some manufacture rebates / discounts. Although Garmin was a no show last year.

I used Seacurity for electronics on my Searay, and had him install radar and gps on my Silverton before I took delivery. He went to Staten Island to do this.
Work was professional, price fair and was done when told it would be done. He also installed the generator on my Silverton.
I would expect that if you have this stuff installed in the winter you should get better pricing than come spring.
I would shop this around

Rodger from CMI gets my vote! H e has done all my electronics , sat receivers and underwater lights. !

I'd vote for Roger at CMI as well. Great guy, good work and isn't finished until everything is running right. He's done 2 boats for me, does all the installs for SS3.

I wish I was in your area I would do the installation for free. I generally purchase my electronics off of E-Bay from resellers. The factory warranty can be started over the internet once you install the electronics. I have always found the best prices on Garmin networked electronics on E-Bay. I know it sounds crazy but that has been my experience with marine electronics and modern MFDs.

You would be wise to pay Billy III's expenses and have it done right the first time.
