Experts - I need some help.

I have multiple factory snaps (ugly old ones) that are no longer used on my boat since the installation of the aftermarket canvas tops. I would like to replace them with something with exhibiting a "finished" look to eliminate the snaps and hide the holes + witness marks around them. I desire something easier than hiring someone to repair the holes.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thx Bruce...

I took yor advice, and ventured into the Home Depot aisles yesterday - where I can spend hours dreaming up boating solutions (typically more affordably than the "marine store"). Couldn't find any SS panheads big enough to cover the witness marks of the old rivets.

However, I did find 2 options that might also serve well to share with our viewers...
1) Plastic push in style hole covers. You find them in the specialty fastener drawers. Only down side is you have to drill out the the current hole configuration for the size with a head big enough to cover the witness marks. Looks nice upon completion though!
2) SS #8 x 1/2 screws combined with finishing washers. Also does a nice job where you don't want to drill out the holes.

Mission accomplished. My winter project of refurbishing the bridge area on my 1982 Carver is complete and ready for summer fun! Splash time coming up!!!!!!
