hardly a surprise but sad new, the SS Norway / France is being towed across the indian ocean heading to a scrap yard in india...

i used to see it everyweek in St Thomas and St Marten... good looking ship, great lines... none of those ugly floating condos that we see nowadays... like the new QE2 that thing is so ugly, it's a disgrace! you'd have to pay me to step on it
i came across this picture taken in germany in 2003 when the Norway started hew voyage to Asia under tow, with a brand new cruise box returning from sea trial... what a difference!
