2001 Mercruser 5.0 carb.
I don't know if this is a problem or not: With the boat out of the water engine starts fine - if I
hit the throttle rather quickly, it coughs and sputters. If I bring the throttle up slowly it is ok. I'm thinking maybe it is because the engine isn't under load and in the water and in gear, it will be ok. It will be a few weeks before I can get it in the water - Any thoughts.
P.S. Yes, I do have the flush muffs on when I'm running out of water.
