We recently had our 40 foot 1996 Searay Sedan Bridge with 7.4 Mercrusier engines serviced for their 100 hour. running fine before service.
After running her back from the yard, I peaked into my always spotless bildge to find it covered in oil that was still oosing out of the dipstick on the port engine.
Temps and pressure was normal, albiet a little high pressure on both engines which I have been told is normal after an oil change.
This has stumped everyone including this master tech from mercruiser who did the 100 hour. he said never seen this before. There was no "milkshake" so I know the oil was not being mixed with water.
My wife has what I know think is the simple explination, "maybe they just put too much oil in there and the egine kicked it out and it carried an extra quart with it"
