Engine stalling

I have a 2005 Volvo 5.7 gie DP, that will stall shifting back into neutral, when coming off of high rpms. It happens when backing down hard, then returning to neutrail.
it will usually restart with no problems. happens at random with both engines

Sounds like you're pushing it hard and dropping into neutral. Try bringing throttle down a little slower before going to neutral. I think it's the wide open throttle then shutting the throttle plates closed(shutting off the air) so it's over rich and killing the engine.

That may be combined with a little residual extra exhaust back pressure from the backing down hard.
