Buddy is looking for a dual console or bowrider with an outboard. I recently read Evinrude is done! Does that mean no more parts as well?

In the articles I read it was mentioned that the support system would remain and they would honor what ever deal they had with Merc.

Anytime a manufacturer discontinues a motor, piece of equipment, etc., they are mandated by law to provide parts for a period of time, I believe it is at least 5 years. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

I believe that the parent company has agreed to honor warranties. Since the G2 motors came with 10 years, they would have to make parts for quite a while.

That being said, someone I know had to fight for warranty coverage on a g2 last year. I can't imagine that will be better.
