I'm about to install a generator in our boat. I'm trying to use only the best of products yet still be rather smart about the purchases. The exhaust on the genny is 2" and the only significant bend will be into the Centek muffler. I will be using a 90degree exhaust elbow for that though. Is it better to use the wired hose or not....or is there really that big of a difference. How hard is each to bend?
Also, what about fuel filters? I'm probably going with the Racor 320 series. Am I overboard with this selection? I could probably save $50 or so using an off brand. Comments?
Everything I'm purchasing will be bought through Boatfix. I'm here to tell you, it will save me around $300-$400 using them versus anyone else. Hopefully the genny will be installed within the next couple of weeks. I'll post a some before, during and after pics.
