Has anyone tried to work with Faria customer service? I have left 2 voice mail messages for the head and assistant gauge repair representatives,as well as an email request and have not received a response in 2 weeks. Thanks.

I guess my first question to you is...why does your Carver have Faria gauges? Carver never installed Faria gauges in any of their boats. You would have Beede gauges from the factory in your boat.

my dock neighbor just bought a Faria gauge on line thru Walmart's online store - matched the style on his boat, in-stock . . . and cheaper than any other place he found. HE was supposed to pick it up from our local this week.

I had both of our original Faria tachs rebuilt. Customer Service was quickly responsive, and turn-around on the first was very fast. Turn-around on the second was slower, getting on toward almost a month I think, and when I called to follow-up, they said ooops, sorry, and they sorted it quickly after that. Think they may have had some folks on vacation, at the time...

Anyway, IIRC, I did phone calls, not e-mail.

Then more recently, I changed out both tachs for Aetna digital tachs, anyway.

I removed all my Faria built (SeaRay) gauges and went to Teleflex Lido Pro. Never been better.

The Faria system is the Fuel Management system. I installed one for each engine but the starboard side has not worked correctly in the 2 years that it has been installed. The original Carver gauges are not Faria as stated earlier.

What does "not worked correctly" mean in this case?

Have you swapped either flow sensors or gauges yet, to help figure out where the problem lies,... if there appears to be power to the incorrect gauge and attempts to recalibrate had failed?

I think Faria discontinued the Fuel Management Gauge so perhaps there may have been common issues with it?

Unfortunately, the Faria website indicates the warranty period for the Fuel Manager gauge is only 12 mo and the sensor may be 2yrs. Out of warranty fixed repair cost for the gauge is $100, & sender service is $65, ...+ $18.50 S&H fee.: http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0090L-9128.pdf

I have a FARIA (alleged) marine clock in my dash. It is a poorly made P O S. and will be replaced this season with a digital model for less cost than the Faria was.

I have installed and used the FLOSCAN fuel management system in both gas and diesel applications.

the stuff is well made and deadly accurate.

Support from the factory regarding installation questions is excellent.

I'd give them a three thumbs up, but I only have two thumbs.

I am DONE with Faria. PERIOD.

The Garmin fuel flow units work very good as well and hook into a NEMA 2000 network. Failing that use a GHI 10 multi function display for them.

The issue is that the starboard side works inermittantly. It's lit and has power but doesn't transmit the data. I think it is a transducer issue. I have followed the trouble shooting instructions in the manual and it works following but then stops unpredictably. I just want to talk to someone at Faria. I went on the service page and actually filled out the info and had to give a credit card to submit the email. Still haven't heard back from them and I haven't received the replacement transducer either.

That transducer has a gauze filter within it. Most likely it is partially clogged. Try taking it out and blowing it out in reverse flow method. See if it helps.
